Nel 1980 il Rally di Monte-Carlo fu vinto da una Fiat: la 131 Abarth di Walter Röhrl. Tuttavia, questa non è stata l'unica Fiat a brillare sulle tappe scivolose e insidiose del "Monte-Carl". Al via era presente anche il piccolo Ritmo, in gara nel Gruppo 2. Anch'essa ha guidato con la superba livrea ufficiale blu e bianca. Al volante, Attilio Bettega ha fatto una buona prestazione e ha ottenuto un bel 6 ° posto a metà del Gruppo 4. Questo ha in qualche modo compensato il forfait dell'anno precedente.

In 1980 the Monte-Carlo Rally was won by a Fiat: the 131 Abarth by Walter Röhrl. However, this was not the only Fiat to shine on the slippery and tricky stages of the "Monte-Carl’". The little Ritmo, competing in Group 2, was also present at the start. It too drove with the superb official blue and white livery. At the wheel, Attilio Bettega put in a solid performance and landed a fine 6th place in the middle of Group 4. This somewhat made up for his forfeit from the previous year.
