HMS PEREGRINE
Our model of the H.M.S (His Majesty's Ship) Peregrine is based on one of the original Keltridge-era construction plans for the Admiralty and reproduces a small vessel built in 1686 for King George III's fleet. . She is classified as "sixth rate", ie sixth rank and armed with 18-20 small caliber guns. These types of vessels were used for other duties such as escorting merchant ships, exploration, transmission of messages or the transport of high personalities. It was from a unit of this type that King George III chose what, in 1749, following a radical transformation in the interior, became the famous Royal Yacht "Caroline".
